From Forums to Microblogging: PR Using Latest Media

Filed under: Ads — admin @ 9:03 pm

Arguably the most fundamental change in how business organizations operate these days is in how they communicate with the public. Whereas before a business would advertise in printed media like magazines, newspapers, and industry journals, today there is the internet. This has hugely influenced how corporations conduct public relations. With the introduction of blogging, all of a sudden we’re perusing informal updates straight from the head chiefs rather than the more accustomed finespun, conventional column ordinarily found in their monthly publication. Not only that, but we’re getting more updates from companies too, with their website being constantly updated. Companies are also utilising microblogging sites like Twitter.

Also the internet has made affairs far less passive and much more active. Now those browsing the net effectively vote for your advert by clicking on it, or join your emailing list, or enquire immediately to you using your online forms. With this activity, we know so much more about target demographics due to their “footprint” they make with their activity. Therefore it’s crucial that a company can react to the feedback left by their website visitors and shape their messages accordingly.

Since the business landscape has changed so much, does it mean corporations have much more power to ensure how the public perceives them? Yes it does. Business organisations are now devoting increasingly more time on public relations, since a lot more new “public meeting places” have opened up with technological advances. With that increased control and opportunity nonetheless, there is the elevated risk of making mistakes too, and so we are of the opinion that it is better to employ a PR organization first. Learn from them. How do they utilise all the new media that is now available? They have acquired experience in understanding what works, and what doesn’t work. They can speedily identify your weaknesses and improve your strong points in terms of putting your message across. A good place to start in regards to finding a PR firm is a search engine. Just type in a key phrase like public relations uk and you will discover a number of public relations firms ready and willing to assist you.

Leaflet Promotion a Smart Way to Promote Your Service during the Credit Crunch. How to Beat the Gloom

Filed under: Ads — admin @ 9:35 pm

Doing leaflet distribution services are one of the best means to get advantage over your competitors. How? Direct Mailing is the answer. By using a endless leaflet distribution promotion you can attain uttermost
exposure via the letterbox. Its a very over looked advertising strategy which always work very well, that is ofcourse is using leaflet distributors

If your product is made to attract to a nationwide market place and you want to focus on a very special field, door to door campaigning is a good, inexpensive way of getting hold of your target market place.

But careful in the planning of your leaflet distribution causes as this is fundamental if you are to make the most of your investment.

Leaflet distribution provides you to generate specific response from directed groups of clients. It’s a specially
functional instrument for small businesses because it lets you to focus reasonable resources where they are most probably to bring about result and quantify the success of campaigns accurately by analysing replies. Simply remember that the leads of leaflet distributoin aren’t assured. A poorly designed or aimed adverting campaign will be a waste of money

There are a number of other methods in which leaflet distribution has been utilized in a governmental capacity. Many of these reasons are as follows. One of the most common purposes of brochure drops is to provide individuals with data to counterpunch information that has been distributed by the opposition. The brochures can also be utilised to threaten people with an attack. This is especially likely in engagements in which regular armies can inform opposition parades that they will invade if no follow up action is made. The leaflets in war situations are often used to encourage the opposition to surrender and if how to go about surrendering without facilitating a retaliation.

If you have determined that a leaflet distribution will be a great form of promoting in order to bring in some much necessary potential patronage, then you need to set about the job of picking out the best company to carry out the distribution for you.

On That Poin there are numerous factors to be considered when doing this, these are critical in receiving the strongest effects from your distribution.

You need to think where you are going to aim your leaflets and the coverage and penetration that you want to achieve. If you are just considering of a small-scale distribution in the local region, it may be prudent to choose a smaller local business who just handle the little promotions in one area. They are quite in all likelihood to be cost effective, and have lower lead times. Accountability may be a problem if things do not go according to plan, so this requires to be weighed against the quantity of financial outlay.

The Man With The “Grasshopper Mind”

Filed under: Ads — admin @ 7:58 am

The title of this article also happens to be one of the “20 Greatest Headlines Ever Written.”

Did you know, just changing the headline has been known to dramatically improve the effectiveness of an ad or sales letter by up to 1700 percent? Yes, headlines are that powerful–and that important!

However, over the last few years, I’ve noticed a proliferation of badly written–or just plain weak headlines–both online and off!

Particularly disturbing is the copycat syndrome. I can’t even begin to tell you how many variations I’ve seen of the “Who Else” headline. For example:

“Who Else Wants To Write Great Headlines?”

By the way, the “Who Else” headline isn’t new. It goes back many decades.

Here’s the problem with copying a popular headline. When you have so many individuals copying a headline, it loses its effectiveness, appeal and uniqueness very quickly–especially on the Internet!

I have a much better alternative. Instead of copying someone else’s headline, put in the hard work that’s required and come up with your own classic headline.

Headlines that evoke some type of emotional response are the most effective and generally make more sales. Emotions motivate people into action. The stronger the emotion, the quicker the action. Therefore, headlines that make the reader excited about gaining something–or even more effective–afraid of losing something, will invariably produce the best results.

Using the proper words and phrases is critical. Below I’ve listed just a few of the words and phrases that, over the years, have proven to be very effective at grabbing the readers attention:

Save… Amazing… Finally… Love… Secrets Of… Announcing… Free… Luxury… Security… At Last… New… Bargains… Obsession… Breakthrough… Protect… The Truth About… Discover… How To… Rewards… Yes… Sale… You… Are You… Sex… Win… Improve… Do You…

After grabbing your readers attention, this is where you want to answer the question, “What’s in it for me?” To do this, you have to know a little about your target audience. What are they interested in? What are their priorities? What makes them respond?

Craft your headlines to use words and phrases that will pique your potential buyers interest. If you are targeting people interested in starting their own home business, try phrases such as “Stay Home And Make Money” or “Kiss Your Job Goodbye Forever”. If your product happens to be diet pills, try “Lose 10 Pounds In 10 Days”.

A word of caution: There is a point where headlines tend to get unbelievable. Make sure that your claims are truthful and that your copy supports their truthfulness.

Once you have a firm grasp of the aforementioned basics, look around your house and select several different products, and write as many headlines as you can think of for each product.

Write variations of the same headline until you have exhausted all the ideas you can think of. This will be both frustrating and difficult at first, but it will become easier with practice. Remember, nothing worthwhile ever comes easy.

After you have your list of headlines, make sure each one passes the test for the following criteria for a good headline. 1. Does it grab the readers attention? 2. Does it answer the question, “What’s in it for me?” 3. Is it truthful? If a potential headline does not meet these three criteria, rewrite it or eliminate it from your list altogether.

Continue using the process of elimination, one headline at a time, until you’re left with what you feel are the three best and strongest headlines, based on the criteria presented in this article.

How will you know which headline is the best one overall?

Unfortunately, there’s no way to know for sure until you test them against each other. The headline that pulls the most sales or responses is your winner!

To help you get the creative juices flowing, I’ve listed below my version of “The 20 Greatest Headlines Ever Written,”. I’ve listed them in my own personal order of preference. Study them, dissect them, figure out what makes them great–then get to work writing your own. Enjoy!

As Seen On TV - Infomercial Products

Filed under: Ads — admin @ 5:53 am

Infomercials have been around for along time. Have you ever caught yourself glued to the TV watching and listening to information on a new TV product? We have all seen these ads and I am sure most of us have some of these products in our homes. I know I have several. Wow, will that really clean my floors and make them look new again? Use water to steam away all those germs. Only five minutes a day and you will lose weight! How can you not want to try these products? Only $19.99 or 5 easy installments of $29.99.

A number of celebrities endorse these products. One product that has been around for awhile is The Thighmaster endorsed by Suzanne Somers. She also endorses other exercise machines such as torso track, beauty products and even appliances. Suzanne has made a real impression in infomercial world.

Celebrities definitely help these products to sell. These are people we can relate to and if they are endorsing a product and putting their name to the infomercial product it must be worth buying, right?

Some infomercial products have turned the spokesperson like Ron Popeil into a celebrity. Most people know who he is. When I hear his name “Set It and Forget It” comes to mind. Get rid of that fat from your foods and walk away while your food cooks. I have one of his rotisserie and I have to admit I love it! The food comes out real moist and tasty. Ron has come out with a whole line of helpful kitchen products.

George Foreman also got into “Get Rid Of The Fat” products. I also have his George Forman grill which is awesome for making sandwiches, hamburgers, cooking bacon and I find it easy to clean. It seems every year he perfects his product with a new line.

I do like infomercials and get easily drawn in. Sure some are just ridiculous gadgets that we really do not need and just end up in the back of the closet after a few uses. What about the products that you see advertised all the time and have been around for awhile? They must be living up to their ad and do what they say if some many people are still purchasing.

Television is a very powerful way to advertise a product and have it endorse by a celebrity and the product can become an instant hit. The internet has become another tool for advertising these products. The web makes it even easier for us to purchase. If you walked into the tail end of an infomercial you can find out more about it online. Do a search for the product name and you should be able to find it on the web. You can even find sites that have short clips of the product in action. What will be the hot As Seen On TV Product this year????

Easel Does It!

Filed under: Ads — admin @ 5:12 am

The easel aside from the palette and the brush is the most important equipment an artist can have. Easels provide the backbone for the painting process.

It may seem as if it only serves to hold the canvas, but in fact, no self-respecting artist will start a project without one, unless, of course, he is working on a different medium such as walls and murals.

The easel is an upright apparatus that is usually held up by three legs (tripod). It is generally used to display or hold canvas.

Easel comes from the old Germanic word for donkey. Ironic enough, this language only had one word for both objects. The Easel is called esel in full German and ezel in the Dutch language. Actually, easel as an apparatus goes by the full name schildersezel, which means ‘painter’s donkey.’

The easel works by providing a tripod that can be manipulated to obtain a desired angle when painting. For example, if you choice of angle is the watercolor angle, which is 35, then the easel can be made to tilt in to that angle.

Prices for easels vary. The type of easel you choose depends on how you would like to paint. Always choose one that fits your needs.

Nevertheless, the construct of your easel should be sturdy enough to endure the wear and tear of use. Brass, steel, or aluminum easels are recommended. Wood easels are the classic standards. However, after some time of use, wooden easels tend to show signs of aging and tear.

Table-Top Easels

This type of easel is small, compact, foldable, and easily used. Unfortunately, its lack of bulk means it cannot be counted upon for stability. Also its size makes it inconvenient to use if you enjoy painting standing up.

It isn’t ideal for outdoor paintings because its size does not allow for versatility. Only small canvases can fit on this type of easel. However, if you enjoy small scale painting, this easel is for you.

Sketchbox or Paintbox Easels

This is the all in one easel since it has a container box to store your supplies in. It isn’t that stable either but it makes for a great beginners easel. It is very much like the table-top easel. Beginners usually buy this type of easel.

French Easel

The French easels are the do-it-all easels. They contain a sketchbox, an easel, and a canvas carrier. This is one of the most versatile easels around. The French easel’s build allows it to be folded up in a hurry, and since it can carry your canvas and supplies as well, you only end up carrying one bag.

Sketching, Portable, and Display Easels

These types of easels are very portable and very handy. You can use them to paint or to display paintings. The only downside to them is that they tend to be a little wobbly due to its lack of weight. However, this type of easel is best for outdoor painting.

Studio Easels

Studio easels are big and can accommodate large canvases. They are floor standing fixtures that are renowned for their stability and durability. They are not portable, though.

These easels are sought after by professional artists. These easels are pricey, and heavy. But if you are dead set on painting professionally or on working on large canvasses, this is the easel for you.

Choosing a proper easel is a very important step in enjoying painting as a job or as a hobby. Choosing the wrong one could inconvenience you or make you feel uncomfortable. It would do well to take sometime to consider which easel best suits you.
