The Nokia E51, What a Gem!

Filed under: Telecommunication Portal — admin @ 4:43 pm

The E51 represents all that is special about Nokia. The E51 is fairly well featured for the price. Like other similarly priced phones from Nokia the visual appearance is quite modern and would appeal to a very broad range of customers. The E51 from Nokia is a sleek and stylish phone.

The E51 has Polyphonic, MP3 ring tones enabled including a vibrating alert . The E51 has support for 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and 3G HSDPA 850 / 2100 . A 2 MP, 1600×1200 pixels, video(QVGA@15fps) camera is integrated into the E51 camera. A WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML browser allows this handset to be used for mobile Internet access. If the colour of your handset is something you are interested in, you should be aware that the E51 comes in, Black and Silver. Size-wise the Nokia E51 is very compact. At 100 g in weight the E51 is pretty light for a mobile phone of its type. The Nokia E51 is that is shipped with a Standard battery, Li-Ion 1070 mAh ( BP-6MT) battery cell. The battery life the E51 is 4:20 talk time and 310 hours standby charge. Regarding the the display the mobile handset is fitted with a 2 inch screen, which is quite a small display for the money. The display is a TFT, 16M colors. The Nokia E51 is has bluetooth, meaning it is compatible with a number of mobile phone devices. This handset also has a few extra features, for example:

  • FM radio
  • Voice command/memo
  • Java MIDP 2.0
  • Push to talk
  • Document viewer
  • MP3/AAC/video player
  • PIM including calendar, to-do list
  • Integrated handsfree
  • Despite being quite a recent model, the Nokia E51 has very stiff competition from other products. This means that it is pretty easy to find some real bargains on this mobile phone.

Mobiles are now so ubiquitous that large numbers of customers do not make an effort to shop around, even though they are losing money. Because it is easier to order a mobile handset in a high street store, or by mail order from a news paper at relatively cheap prices then there is less incentive for making additional effort and hunting for the best deals. The trick these consumers have not figured out is that all of the great deals are mostly avalable online, where significant savings can be found without leaving the office. By using a mobile comparison site is not only the most convenient but is also the cheapest method of finding a mobile phone.

Big Companies Set to Command Gaming Laptops Division Too

Filed under: Lots Of Technology Resources — admin @ 12:11 am

The days where gaming notebooks were a small market are vanishing very rapidly. They were low volume sellers and high profit making units. Everyone desired this type of laptop, however at the price point they were going for it was basically not affordable. Plainly as they were so advanced they were the best laptops in relation to power. Even though they did get people thrilled I do not believe they sold in quantities because few people really buy laptops that are expensive. Lately all that has appeared to have transformed as the international companies have found the opportunities in gaming notebooks.

Compared to the tiny retailers these companies are aware that they can generate even more markup. It is surely a good way to bigger profit margins. With their gigantic marketing budgets I am sure they can sway anyone to buy laptops like these. I reckon littler retailers are really disturbed about this. I say this due to the fact that the technology which was once exclusive and overpriced is now mainstream. Smaller companies can’t really use a brand name like the larger competitors can.

To my astonishment the brand name gaming laptops are as good if not better than the best laptops available. I believe that littler retailers may still have a chance. Choosing the specification is an experience all us techies love. These consumers have the technical literacy and will conclude which laptop computers are best. The fine point are of great significance for this type of customer. This will be quite advantageous from the prospects view. When it comes down to it the price will reduce further and more consumers will be able to afford such superior technology. Its difficult to say what could happen really as the market is a fast evolving one. New innovations are constantly being released and that should hold prices relatively high. It is tough to tell what will occur now that the established companies have become involved in making gaming notebooks.

    Types of Spy Bug Detectors

Filed under: Online Security Resources — admin @ 5:37 am

If you are involved with or working in the surveillance field, or even if you are aware that others may be listening in to your private conversations, spy bug detectors are important. This is because they can help you determine whether a room is relatively safe. There are a variety of spy bug detectors available, from those designed to detect phone taps to those created to find camera spy bugs. Part of good surveillance also owns the proper counter surveillance tools. Spy bug detectors are a vital part of your arsenal. Spy bug detectors that act as sweepers are very useful. You can turn these on and walk the room with them. They are likely to pick up on extra electronic output or to pick up radio frequency (RF) emissions. RF scanners are also very useful, as they scan for any RF energy in the room. Most covert listening devices are actually RF devices, and it is possible to wear these on one’s person. Discretion can be used when you make use of spy bug detectors as well. There is no need to be out there with a big device, ostentatiously scanning the room. Some bug detectors look like pens, and can be used without raising too much suspicion in the person you are speaking with. And that is important. When you realize that the other person is bugged, and if you are discreet about checking for spy listening devices, then you can mislead with carefully planted information, or avoid talking about sensitive issues. Spy bug detectors are also made that specifically search out hidden cameras. If you are worried about peepers prying into your private affairs, you need one of these. They can help you find cameras in the room, and then you can deal with them appropriately, protecting your privacy. Some spy bug detectors are designed for phone taps. These types of detectors will not usually detect a down the line tap, but spy bug detectors can be useful for finding taps on your premises and for discovering taps that are in the phone itself, including hook switch bypasses. High Blood Pressure and Your Health

Filed under: A Better Web — admin @ 5:44 pm

In 2003, The American Heart Association reported that nearly one in three adults, or 65 million people had hypertension. Hypertension or high blood pressure is a common and treatable condition. You have high blood pressure if your blood pressure has a reading of 140 over 90 or higher (140/90mm Hg). Prehypertension is a reading of 120-139/80-89 mm Hg. The AHA reports 59 million adults have prehypertension. Sixty nine percent of people who have a heart attack and seventy seven percent of people who have a stroke have high blood pressure.

When you have hypertension there are no symptoms you can feel or see. The only way to tell is to have your blood pressure checked. In most cases, diet and lifestyle changes can help control mildly high blood pressure. But sometimes, your doctor will prescribe medication as well as lifestyle changes.

Here are some tips to help lower your blood pressure. Stop smoking, smoking narrows your blood vessels causing blood pressure to dramatically rise. You should also try to maintain a healthy weight. Eat fewer high fat foods and increase your physical activity. Exercise regularly, aerobic exercise tones your heart, blood vessels and muscles and helps keep your blood pressure low. Drink alcohol in moderation and limit your salt intake. A diet high in salt causes the body to retain water, which increases the volume of blood in circulation and increases the pressure in the arteries.

If you are required take blood pressure medication, take all the medication as prescribed. Try to take your pills close to the same time each day, and never skip a dose. If you have side effects or don’t believe your pressure is high, see your doctor about your concerns. Make sure you refill your prescriptions before they run out. Do not stop medication because your blood pressure is normal, chances are it’s is normal due to the medication.

    Charity Begins At Work

Filed under: A Better Web — admin @ 5:35 am

Want some free publicity? Donate your product or service to a Charity Auction. Great. Now the 3 organisers and the 25 people actually at the auction know about your product. Well, guess what — your job doesn’t actually stop with the donation. Now you put some marketing grunt to work.

Don’t rely on the organisers to do that task - believe us, they’ll welcome the help.

First, start well ahead of time, so you can make the various deadlines of the media you intend to approach.

Find yourself a tame commercial photographer - or an obliging local newspaper photographer - and get snapped handing over the widget.

Whatever your product, there’s a marketing angle that can be used - you’ve just got to find it.

    * “Chemist donates cosmetics to spruce up Asthma Appeal”

    * “Does 4 hours on a luxury boat sound tough?”

    * “One fully-decorated Christmas tree, available to a good home. Presents not included.”

Now write some copy, identifying WHO, HOW, WHAT, WHEN and WHERE - focus on the charity, but get in some good licks for your product (and your organisation, if others sell the same product). This sort of thing:

“Next week’s Charity Auction for the Green Elephant Trust is going to be a blast, thanks to this replica Louis Armstrong BlueNote Trumpet donated by the KindHeart Music Store. The Auction, scheduled for 8pm at the etc etc etc ..”

OK. Job partly done. Now identify all the possible recipients of this press release - daily papers, community papers, local shoppers, local radio, local TV, what’s on guides, women’s mags, mall or library noticeboards, newsletters for affiliated charities, etc, etc. The magazines will have the longest deadlines, so approach them first.

If you have the time (& the skill), create different angles for different media. Make yourself available for interviews, if you can - just remember, it’s an interview about the Auction, not about your product.

Phone, fax, email, snailmail - get the press release in front of their eyes. Some will buckle under and print the thing, spelling your product name right.

Job done, for little cost (except your time). Then turn up at the Auction and pay silly money to buy your product back!

    Consumer Electronics

Filed under: A Better Web — admin @ 6:13 am

Consumer electronics have become a major part of our everyday lives, whether we think so or not. You don’t have to be a tech freak to have most of your life somewhat dependant upon electronics. This dependency seems to grow more and more with each new generation as well. If you run through a typical day, you might notice just how many consumer electronics that you use. There are also many new devices coming out all of the time to fill the void that was lacking a device to fill it.

Most of us will start our day to the tune of an electric alarm clock. Then as we get ready in the morning we will use a couple of other devices ranging from an electric shaver to an electric iron. You may then heat up some breakfast in a microwave or toaster while the electric coffee maker brews a fresh pot. The point is that you have hardly started your day and most of the morning was spent using various electronics. With a normal work week most of us do not have time to manually do everything. Consumer electronics mainly fulfill two duties. They either provide a useful function and/or they entertain us.

Most of the electronics that fulfill a function of daily life are similar to the aforementioned products that you may use in the morning. Many others include things like refrigerators and washing machines. These appliances make everyday chores take a fraction of the time. Our electronics also make us more comfortable with climate control for our homes and water heaters for our faucets. You do not need to shop the latest products to be dependant upon electronics.

Besides consumer electronics that are used for everyday functions, there are ones that are purely for our interest and entertainment. MP3 player, portable gaming devices and camcorders all provide for entertainment everyday. There are also items like computers and cell phones that provide daily functions and entertainment. Our consumer electronics improve more every year to provide functionality and consumer satisfaction. More and more each year these products also fuse the gap between entertainment and functionality which promises them a place in our shopping carts.

    Murtha Right, Bush Lies

Filed under: A Better Web — admin @ 2:06 am

DETROIT — Privately, President George W. Bush is having a political panic attack as he retreats to his cocoon, seeking comfort from his nannies. Babs, his mommy, wife Laura, Condi Rice and Karen Hughes serve as his ladies in waiting, assuring our courageous leader that the boo-boos he gets on his head will get better and those bad boys criticizing his war are just meanies who don’t like him.

Vice President Dick Cheney, whose bum advice has cost him his male-nanny status, still is called upon for political valet duties. He made a pitiful attempt to quiet Iraq war critics and rewrite history. Cheney, the Lord of the Lies, still sticks to the bogus script he, more than anyone else, crafted: that Saddam Hussein was a dangerous threat to our security and war was the only way to save the republic.

On Capitol Hill, the Republican enablers in Congress shamelessly branded Democratic Rep. John P. Murtha, a decorated Vietnam combat veteran, as a “coward.” Murtha, one of the most respected members of Congress on military matters and until recently a staunch a supporter of the war in Iraq, had the temerity to call for a speedy withdrawal of U.S. troops.

The Pennsylvania congressman, a former Marine colonel and Bronze Star winner, twice wounded in Vietnam, said it is time to bring the troops back home. Murtha said the war is based on “flawed policy wrapped in illusion.” His unexpected defection caused the Republicans to panic, slur Murtha, and force a vote on a transparently disingenuous resolution calling for the immediate withdrawal of U.S. forces.

The Republican members of the House are trying to save face and their political hides as public support for the pre-emptive war is plummeting. They are getting their cues from the White House, which means they can’t even acknowledge the obvious truth that the Iraq threat was, at very least, wildly exaggerated to sell the war. If they had some smarts — they don’t — they would paint themselves as well-intentioned victims of the administration’s propagation of bogus intelligence.

You know the Busheviks are deep in desperation when they drag Cheney from his bunker to denounce critics who dare to say “the president of the United States or any member of this administration purposely misled the American people on prewar intelligence.” The intelligence was cooked and the only way that could be done was with purpose and premeditation. Only blind partisans and fools argue otherwise.

Cheney made his denunciation wearing a tuxedo at a dinner for rich Republicans as the children of people of more modest means die in Iraq in a contrived war, doomed from its inception. Violence explodes every day in Iraq because our troops are seen as invaders and oppressors. Bush’s horrible experiment in using military aggression to “spread democracy” is an irredeemable foreign policy disaster that has done immeasurable damage to our national security.

Cheney tried to stem the growing chorus of criticism for the lies he fashioned, scowling that those who expose the deceptions are “irresponsible,” “dishonest” and “reprehensible.” He used that threadbare argument that criticism in the middle of a war “harms the troops who hear these cynical and pernicious falsehoods day in and day out.”

Cheney said he was proud of the men and women fighting the “war on terror in Iraq,” and lamented “a few opportunists are suggesting that they were sent into battle for a lie.” They were. The “terror in Iraq” is the direct result of the invasion and occupation. Murtha recognizes a fundamental truth that sends the Busheviks reeling: that the continued presence of U.S. troops is “inciting the enemy against us,” and the only hope to quell the violence is to get them home as quickly as possible.

The more indignant and solemn Cheney sounds, the more outlandish and transparent his lies. He has no soul, shame or conscience. He and his dauphin in the Oval Office are desperate, angry and vindictive. “If we screwed up,” they whine, “so did everyone else.” They are so addicted to their reckless irresponsibility and supreme arrogance they are incapable of ever recognizing and soberly reflecting on the manifest failures they’ve created.

Now that six out of 10 Americans have concluded they lied to get the war they wanted, Bush and Cheney are scrambling to collectivize their failures and tell those who are now seeing and speaking the truth that their actions will harm the troops and the war effort.

“We will stay in the fight until we have achieved the victory that our brave troops have fought for,” Bush bellowed last Saturday to cheering American military personnel at Osan Air Base, near Seoul, South Korea. Aside from the company of his nanny corps and at the coffee shop in Crawford, Texas, military bases are the only places Bush can feel appreciated these days.

He loves to don a faux flight jacket, get into his military mode, salute the troops and hear the adulation from the crowd. There’s our commander in chief. He’ll lead us to victory.

By the way, what is victory in Iraq? Disarmament? Regime change? Capture and try Saddam Hussein? Freedom and stability for Iraq? Create a viable democracy? Hold elections? Bring peace to the Middle East? Protect Israel? Defeat al-Qaeda? Build military bases? Protect the oil fields? Win the mid-term congressional elections? Victory is all, any or some of the above. It depends on the Bushevik talking points of the week.

These last couple of weeks have been grueling for Bush. He’s been on the road to Latin American and Asia, and our leader hates to travel. He has to eat all that “fur’n” food, listen to “fur’n” languages, stay up past his 8 p.m. bedtime and pretend he’s interested.

In Korea, tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets to protest Bush and his war. The totalitarian Chinese government doesn’t permit such public displays, but the Chinese people are dead-set against the American aggression in Iraq.

In fact, everywhere on the planet, save among a dwindling number of Americans and the Bushevik cheerleaders in Congress, people are opposed to the war in Iraq and want a speedy U.S. withdrawal.

We lost any remote hope of pacifying Iraq when the horrors of the torture of detainees at Abu Ghraib prison were revealed. The torture policies forever alienated the Iraqi people, and assured popular support for Islamist extremists and insurgents and their violent campaigns.

Now, we learn Iraq’s new police force has been systematically torturing prisoners and even carrying out non-judicial executions. The brutality occurred right under the noses of American military commanders. British reports describe the Shiite-dominated police using torture on captured Sunnis, further inflaming the sectarian violence unleashed after the U.S. invasion.

ABC News reports two former Iraqi detainees were repeatedly tortured by U.S. forces trying to squeeze out information about Saddam and his nonexistent weapons of mass destruction. This new revelation comes as Bush and Cheney continue to resist a Senate defense spending authorization that includes a no-torture provision.

Adding to the Iraqi resistance and international outrage over U.S. behavior, the Pentagon admits, after repeatedly denying it, that white phosphorus was used as a weapon during the U.S. assault on Fallujah, the insurgent stronghold, in the summer of 2004.

RAI, the Italian television network, recently produced a disturbing documentary, “The Hidden Massacre,” the story of the use of the chemical weapon on the people of Fallujah.

The video of the corpses burned to the bone and eyewitness accounts of the suffering are difficult to see and hear. First denying the reports of the use of white phosphorus, Condoleezza Rice’s State Department then admitted the chemical had been used in artillery shells over Fallujah for “illumination purposes.”

But in the face of the documented evidence of civilian casualties, a Pentagon spokesman, Lt. Col. Barry Venable, finally admitted, “It was used as an incendiary against enemy combatants.” Venable told the BBC that earlier statements were based on “poor information.” I’ll say.

Among the changing reasons for the war, Bush, Cheney and Rice repeatedly warned us that Saddam had chemical and biological weapons and someday he would use them on another nation or provide them to terrorists. Rice loved to remind us Saddam had used chemicals on “his own people.”

Fallujah has been pretty much destroyed, its 300,000 residents displaced and in despair. The bodies of many of their loved ones are charred beyond recognition with chemical weapons. These people want us to leave their country.

George W. Bush and Dick Cheney want us to stay until they declare victory. We have already lost the war in Iraq and we also may have lost our national soul there.

Virginia Workers’ Compensation Brain Injury: A Very Big Problem

Filed under: A Better Web — admin @ 5:29 pm

FIRST, if you suffer a head injury while working in Virginia and you start receiving workers’ compensation benefits (weekly wage replacement checks and medical care) for this injury, it would appear you have no problems but things are not always what they seem.

SECOND, the usual procedure is when you suffer the head injury, the insurance company for your employer will send you a form to sign which will be filed with the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission. The Commission will then enter an award based on that form. The insurance form is called “An Agreement to Pay” form.

THIRD, the important thing to note is the paragraph on the form that describes your injury. Most of the time if you have had a head injury, the form will say only “head injury.” When you sign the form, it is your agreement that this is the only injury you have.

FOURTH, the problem that arises is that the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission (which regulates workers’ compensation in Virginia) and the Virginia Court of Appeals which hears appeals from the Commission have decided that “head injury” on the Agreement to Pay form does not include “brain injury” even if the “brain” has been injured when the head injury occurred at the time of the original accident.

FIFTH, the next problem is that the Commission and the Court of Appeals has decided that you only receive compensation for the injuries you have listed on the Agreement to Pay form and you only have two (2) years from the date of your accident to amend the Agreement to Pay form to add new injuries (such as a brain injury) if this was not inserted on the original Agreement to Pay form).

SIXTH, the remedy is to file a Claim for Benefits with the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission within two (2) years of the date of one’s accident and add “brain injury” to your claim.

SEVENTH, if the Agreement to Pay only says “head injury,” then a major problem is created after the claimant has been paid 500 weeks of compensation. Normally, the cap on workers’ compensation in Virginia is 500 weeks of compensation for almost all injuries. However, there are a few exceptions to the 500 week cap. One of those exceptions is a “brain injury” but not a head injury.

EIGHTH, thus if one has had one’s injury listed as a “head injury” and not a “brain injury” and 500 weeks of compensation have elapsed and one is still “disabled,” you would want to extend benefits under the 500 week “brain injury” exception in Virginia. However, because you never amended the Agreement to Pay form to add “brain injury” you would likely be barred from having your compensation extended beyond 500 weeks by the Commission.

In summary, if one has a serious head injury in Virginia, it is critical to always file a Claim for Benefits within two (2) years to add a “brain injury” claim. This is so because the ill effects of any head injury could develop later and could always involve a brain injury. You should not lose your rights because of this “technicality.”

What Makes Diet Pills So Popular

Filed under: A Better Web — admin @ 4:22 pm

All of us desire to lose weight faster without making any effort. To cater to this demand of ours, diet and weight loss pills are launched for those of us hoping to lose weight. Using drugs to speed up weight loss, burn extra fat or control obesity has always been irresistible. Many dieters prefer to use weight loss pills or diet drugs to control their weight and shape rather than follow a healthy diet and exercise plan.

The main reason behind the immense popularity of these diet pills is that, they make you lose weight within a very short span of time. Most of these diet pills are very user friendly and they help us in our weight loss process without altering our lifestyle. The simple act of popping a pill can result in weight loss and bring a positive change in our physique for the better.

You’ll be surprised to know that diet pills are not a product of our generation. They were initially launched during the 1950s and 60s and at that time they were mainly available in the form of amphetamine derivatives. But due to their addictive nature, medical practitioners stopped prescribing these drugs for weight loss. At that point of time proper diet and exercise replaced drug therapy for a temporary period of time. But with the arrival of FDA approved drugs for weight loss such as fenfluramine, dexfenfluramine and phentermine, the diet pills industry started booming again.

Most of these breed of diet pills work by increasing Serotonin levels in the brain. Serotonin is a form of chemical which is associated with improved mood, appetite and satiety. With the passage of time, new drugs such as Adipex and Xenical arrived in the market for making weight loss a reality for millions of obese people across the globe. Adipex and Xenical are used as an appetite suppressant and for attaining maximum benefits; these drugs are used in conjunction with an overall diet plan to reduce weight.

So, don’t hesitate to opt for these diet pills and witness the difference in your weight yourself.

For more information on Adipex diet pills please visit the site http://www.adipexcart.com
