Expand Your Network - Forum!

Filed under: Social Parlor — admin @ 5:48 pm

Forum posts are a way to connect with other marketers and just as in offline business, networking is what online marketing is all about. When people get to know you, they trust you and this may spark them to buy your product or join the program you’re promoting. And, it’s always a great way to make new friends.

The first thing you must do after joining is to introduce yourself to the other members of the group. Usually, this will include information about where you live, what your interests are, and a blurb about being happy to be in the forum. Keep it simple and allow veteran members to welcome you. Then, respond to their comments or questions. It’s a great way to get your feet wet and to satisfy the “getting to know you” requirement of most forums.

Then, just read posts for a while. Old-timers in a forum, those who have been members a while, can often be great sources of information. You can learn a great deal just by reading posts, especially if the forum is very active. Take advantage of the free tutoring. It’s worth its weight in platinum.

Another advantage of posting to a forum is that you are usually able to use a signature file, meaning a link to a program or product you’re promoting underneath your signature. This is a great way to advertise! Your link attaches to every post you make or will ever make and it will add up to a lot of free advertising over time. Just be sure to follow the rules about posting signature lines. Some forums allow several, while others may allow none at all, and the last thing you want to be is a forum rule breaker. The members will never let you forget, if you do it consistently over time.

Don’t become a forum lizard, either. Posts that have no substance are generally frowned upon. These are the “Yahoo!” posts or the “Sure, I agree,” posts with no relevant comments to legitimize them. Don’t spend all your time in forums, either. Find a thread or two that interest you and post something important to those. Reading every post by every member can take up most of your day in large forums, if you allow it. Just be involved enough to become known as someone whose point of view holds interest by providing food for thought, interesting URLs on a topic, or especially humor, if you’re able to write funny things without being corny. Forum members won’t mind if you post once or fifteen times, if what you have to say resonates.

So, get out there and make some posts, even if it’s only to respond to what others have posted. First, read the terms and conditions of the forum and read some posts before you go barging into someone else’s living room. Get a feel for the tone of its posters. And never post ads, unless the forum has a specific board for doing so. That’s a big no-no and will get you into trouble. But don’t be shy. People in forums are generally nice and very helpful, and networking is what n-e-t-w-o-r-k marketing is all about!

eBay Explained: Private Auctions

Filed under: Auctions, Bargains, Clearance Sales — admin @ 12:18 am

You may not be familiar with private auctions on eBay as they are only used by the minority of sellers. Private auctions, are exactly the same as regular auctions except you can not see who you are bidding against. All users who participate in these auctions are completely unknown to each other.

The first time I bidded in a private auction I was a little skeptical, after all it would be very easy for the seller to take advantage of the privacy factor & bump up the auction price though the practice of shill bidding. I’m guessing I’m not alone here, as a recent survey I conducted amongst my website visitors showed 27% of eBayers would be unlikely to bid in a private auction.

However, there are some very good reasons for using a private auction. Firstly, it provides privacy to both parties - the seller and the winning bidder. If your auctioning off something that may be considered embarrassing or perhaps something of an adult nature bidders may not want this item shown on their feedback profile. With a private auction, both parties can still leave feedback but the item number will be unavailable to click on.

Unfortunately, it may be sometimes necessary to run a private auction to protect yourself from other sellers. Many less than credible sellers have been known to poach bidders for their own auctions, using the contact member feature to alert members to their own auctions.

In some eBay categories such as the Business & Industrial, this is very very common practice. If you suddenly find a lot of bidders withdrawing their bids for no reason, it may be worthwhile trying a private auction.

Overall, there’s no reason to avoid bidding on a private auction more than any other auctions. Just be sure to check out the sellers feedback first - if that’s been made private as well then maybe it’s worth having a second thought before you place your bid.

60% of Illegal Aliens Come From Mexico

Filed under: Political Activism — admin @ 11:06 am

Many people would like to solve the legal immigration problem and stop illegal aliens from entering our country by putting up the giant fence along the United States and Mexican borders. The States of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas are of course where the legal aliens cross. Over 60 percent of the legal aliens come to our country from Mexico and another 18 percent cross over the Mexican border, as they go through Mexico to get to the United States of America.

But is it feasible to build fence along our borders, as such a fence would cost over $1 billion to build and would take years to complete. Is that feasible? Some say it must be done no matter what the cost, because the costs of allowing the legal immigration into our nation and continuing to allow the illegal aliens to come at will could collapse our economy. We have already seen unnecessary stresses on our economic prosperity in the United States of America from the legal aliens, which are coming for Mexico. It is only going to get worse if nothing is done. Today the United States Senate and the United States Congress are arguing over what is best to be done.

However, it should also be noted that the Barbara Jordan Commission had already worked out all the details, but nothing was ever done. Perhaps we should enforce the current laws we have our books rather than make a whole set of new laws that we obviously cannot or will not enforce. Consider all this in 2006.

Tips on Decorating Your House to Sell

Filed under: Real Estate Management — admin @ 11:50 pm

When potential buyers step into your house, they want to see a clean, neat and attractively decorated house. What they DON”T want to see is something so overly decorated they can’t imagine their own furniture and possessions in the house. Plus, too many shelves and tables with knickknacks, too many overstuffed sofas piled with pillows can hide the architectural and structural features of a home.

Here are a few tips on keeping a minimalist approach to your home decorating.

MINIMIZE. Put away EVERYTHING that isn’t absolutely essential. Even if you have get down on your knees and beg your neighbor for some storage space in their garage, (or rent a storage locker), do it. Remember, it isn’t forever, and you might find you can live without some of that stuff.

ORGANIZE. This is a good time to tackle that filing you’ve been putting off, and organizing your craft materials and other projects. Once again, get rid of anything you can live without temporarily. Better yet, start packing! And by the way, it’s easy these days to find attractive, inexpensive baskets in stores from WalMart to PierOne. Use those baskets to help keep you organized. A large basket can be used to stash magazines and coasters under the coffee table. Baskets can also be put to good use in bathrooms - put away all your personal items like make-up, toothpaste, shaving cream, etc. People can get distracted looking at the brand names of products you use; plus, having all that stuff around makes the house look used.

ARRANGE. The things you DO keep around can be rearranged in attractive ways to make your house look interesting. In the kitchen, for example, group canisters together. Spreading them out makes counter space look smaller. The same goes for ledges, end tables, bookcase, and fireplace mantels. Group no more than 3 things together, making sure they’re varying heights, and mix graduate sizes. For example, group 2 candles on one side of the mantel, and something smaller on the other side.

One thing to remember while decorating to sell is that potential buyers frequently spend more time looking at family photograph and items of a personal nature. That embroidered family tree your aunt made might well spark a long conversation that does nothing to sell your house. So temporarily put away those photos and other personal items.

The key is to make the house look attractive, minimally decorated, and devoid of personal artifacts which distract the potential buyer and possibly prevents her from envisioning her OWN family and stuff in the house.

New World Order about to Start? Bible Prophecies point to World’s Last Chance

Filed under: Religion On The Web — admin @ 12:10 pm

What is going on? Why is the world in such absolute turmoil? The weather is behaving in mad and unpredictable fashion causing untold damage in places that have never experienced such destruction before. Perplexing and virulent diseases, are killing entire populations. Despite desperate peace efforts words like Armageddon and The End of the World keep appearing in our headlines. And although marvelous technical advances continue to amaze and astonish mankind, humanity seems to be bent on a course of moral and social self-destruction. And many are expressing a vague unease that some world-changing, cataclysmic event is on the verge of occurring; that the order of things as we have known it, is about to change in a drastic and radical fashion.

Is there an answer? Can anyone know with certainty what the future holds? We believe that there IS a key to not only knowing what the future holds but preparing for it as well. We believe that this key is the Bible! Our conviction is based not on mere opinion or sentiment, but on the fact that the Bible makes claims that no other book dares to make and the life-changing way it has affected innumerable individuals. Also, the Bible is a book of prophecy, which is easily demonstrable, unlike ANY other so-called holy book or writings. The Bible is a book that opens the future up to us. It warns us that a change is coming that will challenge every human being alive; that we are facing the WORLD’S LAST CHANCE!

Readers will be shocked to know that the Bible, through prophetic signs and symbols, predicts and identifies two great super powers–one political, one religious–that will jointly bring about a NEW ORDER of things, an end to society as we now know it, in a most dramatic and unexpected way. Many are aware that there are sinister forces at work behind the scenes to effect these great changes. But only the Bible clearly exposes these forces and provides a way out. Only the Bible offers the WORLD’S LAST CHANCE!

We are presenting a document that will enable you to see for yourself how the Bible, step by step, point by point, singles out these two world powers from their very beginning and how the plans and decisions they are making, at this very moment, will soon affect every individual on the face of the earth. You will see how the Bible CLEARLY shows that the USA will join hands with the papacy to restrict our once dearly held rights and nullify our God-given freedom of conscience. To most, this may seem totally outrageous and absurd, but the Bible says “Prove all things.” and this we fully intend to do, because this is the WORLD’S LAST CHANCE!

It cannot be denied that our freedoms are being subtly, inexorably chipped away under one pretext or another. Freedoms once taken for granted can now make one criminally liable. No longer does one have the freedom to express a moral perspective without risking being accused of committing a hate crime. A small child is disciplined for innocently expressing religious beliefs at school; increasingly restrictive laws continue to confront one on every side, and this will finally culminate in the ultimate loss of freedom to worship as one chooses–at the cost of life itself! All this is clearly confirmed and verified in the document we have prepared based on the shocking but irrefutable prophecies of the Bible that clearly show that the WORLD’S LAST CHANCE is fast approaching.

Our challenging document explores such crucial questions as: What is the purpose of the Biblical prophecies? What is an example of a fulfilled prophecy in the Bible? What is the most solemn prophetic warning yet to be fulfilled? How do we unlock the mysterious symbols to understand prophecy? It clearly explains what the Mark, Number, and Name of the Beast are; their relationship to the USA, and how these forces are NOW conspiring to bring about the crisis that will bring all the world to its knees–and answers many other questions which will reveal to you why we are convinced that the WORLD’S LAST CHANCE will soon be here.

Divorce - Are You Feeling Cheated?

Filed under: Living With Relationships — admin @ 2:01 am

Are you feeling relieved after divorce or cheated? After many divorces people feel happy while in many rather more cases they feel cheated. Why? Divorce it self is a very painful process and the times that lead to divorce are more painful. The question is why get the sense of feeling cheated after getting divorce? Let us talk about this.

Relationship demands giving - People give a lot to their marriage; most of them do it except few. Right from the development of relationship, a lot of time, emotional energy and physical resources are given to make it work. During marriage the investment goes higher. Most of the partners want the marriage to work. There are exceptions that unbelievably want to destroy because of psychological problems. When cracks develop in the marriage, lot more effort is made to save the marriage and when the marriage breaks after putting in so much effort, one feels cheated.

Is this true for all? This is not true for all. There are few individuals who don’t give anything in marriage. They ask for it. The demand and contribute nothing. That is the game of selfishness played by them. So these people will never feel cheated. They will only feel bad that they lost an easy victim.

What should you do? The only way out is to forget the losses. Try to erase the past as much as possible. This will be difficult, but break the pain bit by bit. Work on it and it will go away one day. Try to forge another relationship and forget what went wrong. Cut your losses as soon as possible.

IVA - An Alternative to Bankruptcy

Bankruptcy in the UK is on the increase. The most recent figures from the DTI show that in the third quarter of 2005 personal bankruptcies rose by 32% and as many as 12,256 people were declared bankrupt.

One of the reasons for this rise is that a growing number of people with serious debt problems see bankruptcy as an easy way out following the Enterprise Act of 2002 that made it possible for a bankrupt to be discharged after less than a year.

However, anyone who thinks bankruptcy is easy is mistaken - unless their definition of ‘easy’ covers the prospect of lost assets, the return of hired and leased goods, press notices of the bankruptcy and severe restrictions placed on the bankrupt.

These restrictions make it impossible to get credit of £250 or more without letting the lender know you are bankrupt. Also you cannot start, manage, promote or become a director of a company without the court’s consent or informing everyone with whom you do business of your situation.

However, those in the unfortunate situation of chronic debt will be happy to discover that there is an alternative that could save them much of the heartache inherent of bankruptcy: the IVA.

IVA is short for Individual Voluntary Arrangement. An IVA can be arranged by an insolvency practitioner for people with unsecured debts of £15,000 or more.

A creditors’ meeting is organised where the people to whom you owe money agree the terms of your IVA. If a majority of 75% vote in favour then the IVA can go ahead.

An IVA can wipe off a significant proportion of your debt instantly - often as much as 60%.

For the remaining debt, a payment programme is worked out according to how much you can afford and you can be debt-free within five years.

And of course this all happens without the restrictions and asset-loss associated with bankruptcy.

Chronic debt is a bad situation no matter how you look at it, but an IVA is often the least painful way out.

John Porter is a senior debt counsellor with The Debt Counsellors who supply free debt advice on the IVA and all debt problems.

Green Transport

Filed under: Life Information — admin @ 3:07 pm

Going environmentally friendly is something that is going to have an effect on us all in the next 8yrs. We have Environmental Travel, Electric Cars & Biological Fuels to look at now.

There are many different types of Biological Fuels. Biological Fuels are fundamentally plant based alternatives to oil- based Diesels such as petroleum, diesel and heating oil. Using biodiesel emits CO2 emissions, even so, this is balanced with the fact that the crop used to fabricate it uses C02 from across the surroundings to grow. Even so the climate advantages of Biological Fuels are hotly chatted about, with some environmentally friendly commentators stating that Biological Fuels cause more harm than good. There are two main forms of Biological Diesel & Ethanol.

As the name suggests, biodiesel is intended for use in diesel vans. Biodiesel is decidedly comparable to veg oil and is created from the identical kinds of plants- oil rich sources such as sun flower, palm, rapeseed & groundnut. Biological Diesel might also be manufactured from cow fat or oils reused from Polish cuisine restaurants. Biodiesel should be tried neat in some diesel automobiles, even so, at this current time Biodiesel is more generally to be found in a mix with regular diesel- commonly 0.08 biodiesel with diesel fuel. This recipe can often be burned by any diesel engine.

Ever thought about purchasing an eco car? There are 2 forms the G WIZ electric car & the Mega City. All these are many genuinely climate and green friendly travel machines; in fact the electric cars are many an environmental daydream. Electric cars do not manufacture any carbon dioxide emissions in fact much more to the point they do not even have an emission pipe. Because you power an electric car from renewable energy, it makes no CO2 emissions. Even though this environmentally friendly car has various advantages it does have a few cons as well. The clear one being it is an electric car and it might well only do ninety six miles before you have to charge the car powerpack and this in general has to be done over the course of the night, if you are planning on doing a long trip, this may have to be finished over the course of a few days. Get green and environmentally friendly with reduced carbon dioxide Eco Travel.
